The sludge concentration online sensor uses infrared light scattering technology. When incident light enters the water, it is scattered by the surface of the sludge particles. The scattered light intensity is detected at a specific angle relative to the incident light path. By correlating the intensity of the scattered light with the sludge concentration, the sensor determines the sludge concentration in the water.

Infrared scattering light technology involves directing a light beam onto the sample solution, where sludge particles scatter the light. The infrared light source emits light, and the detection path is set at a specific angle to the incident light. The intensity of the scattered light received by the detector correlates with the sludge concentration in the water. Therefore, by measuring the intensity of the scattered light, the sludge concentration in the sample can be accurately determined.
