The UTS-2000 Online Trace Total Sulfur Analyzer, independently developed by FPI, utilizes ultraviolet fluorescence measurement technology to accurately measure and output total sulfur concentration in gas or liquid phases in real-time. It features fast response speed, no moving parts, and high reliability. Replacing costly and time-consuming laboratory sampling processes, it is suitable for detecting total sulfur content in natural gas, metallurgical by-product gases, and other industrial gases.

Princípio
The measured gas and combustion-supporting air are mixed at a certain flow ratio and enter the quartz boat reformer at 1100°C, where sulfide and O2 are completely oxidized to produce SO2. In the UV fluorescence chamber, SO2 is excited by UV light, emitting fluorescence (240–420nm) detected by a photomultiplier tube and converted into an electrical signal. The signal is then processed to determine the SO2 concentration, which is proportional to its fluorescence intensity. The total sulfur concentration is calculated based on the SO2 concentration.

High Safety and Reliable
The analyzer is designed to meet the requirements of positive pressure and explosion protection. Air is used as the combustion gas, avoiding the use of pure oxygen as the combustion gas for sulfide oxidation conversion, significantly reducing the risk and cost of use.
High Measurement Accuracy
The analyzer takes all sulfur compounds through an oxygen-enriched combustion reaction and completely oxidizes them to SO2 with a 100% conversion rate, measuring the total sulfur content in a way that is closest to the actual conversion path of sulfides, with high fidelity and accuracy that is closest to the purpose of the measurement.
Fast Analyzing Speed
The analyzer adopts continuous injection, continuous conversion and continuous measurement, which can realize the output of measurement results in seconds. Compared with the traditional methods, the measurement speed is greatly accelerated so that the analyzer can not only be used for the slow measurement requirements of compliance testing but also meet the requirements of the process for fast measurement.
