The radar flow meter uses high-precision radar technology to measure both water level and flow velocity. It calculates flow rate based on a proprietary open channel model, while also correcting for environmental influences around the channel. The flow data is output via serial communication using the standard MODBUS protocol or a proprietary protocol. It is primarily used for measuring flow in open channels within irrigation districts, serving as a remote measurement or monitoring terminal, typically installed at standard channel cross-sections.
In acoustics, when there is relative motion between the sound source and the observer, the Doppler effect occurs. In this case, the frequency of the echo heard by the observer differs from the original source frequency; this change is called the Doppler frequency shift. Electromagnetic waves also exhibit the Doppler effect, enabling millimeter-wave radar to measure velocity using this principle.
