The Acoustic Doppler Flow/Velocity Meter utilizes the acoustic Doppler effect to detect fluid velocity and flow rate. It measures the Doppler frequency shift at specific points in the fluid using two transducers.
The transducers of the Acoustic Doppler Flow Meter emit acoustic waves into the water and receive echo signals with varying frequencies. Based on the frequency shift caused by the Doppler effect, the flow velocity is determined. By combining the measured velocity with the cross-sectional area of the pipe or channel, the flow rate can be accurately calculated.
