The suspended solids online sensor uses infrared light scattering technology. When the incident light enters the water, it is scattered by the surface of suspended particles. The intensity of the scattered light is detected at a certain angle relative to the incident light path. By correlating the scattered light intensity with the concentration of suspended solids, the sensor determines the concentration of suspended solids in the water.
Infrared scattering light technology involves directing a light beam onto the sample solution, where suspended solids scatter the light. The infrared light source emits light at a specific angle relative to the detection path. The intensity of the light received by the detector correlates with the concentration of suspended solids in the water. Therefore, by measuring the intensity of the scattered light, the concentration of suspended solids in the sample can be calculated.
